College Volleyball article on ESPNW.com

Always good to see College Volleyball media support - Thank you to ESPNW!

An interesting read about how high school age volleyball participation keeps increasing and high school age basketball participation is actually decreasing for female athletes.

With all the summer camps I do, I have seen first hand the all too often conflict between volleyball and basketball programs - Hoops coaches don't like the better female athletes moving to volleyball full time when they get into high school.

See if you can pick up the criticism of VB from the one hoops coach quoted....

  1. The statement by the basketball coach that the skills are easier to master in volleyball with "less hand eye coordination" than what is required in basketball (or whatever that nonsense was) is absurd. Apparently, he has never watched a high level women's volleyball match!
